The ONYX camera line of Transportable Video Magnifiers provides portable, easy-to-use video magnification solutions in three distinct viewing modes: distance views, document views, and mirror-image self views. This small yet powerful camera provides strong magnification. It easily connects to any NTSC TV for an affordable video magnification solution. You can change the magnification, brightness, contrast, and tracking features of the ONYX with a unique and easy-to-use RF remote control. Use Focus Lock to keep an object or document in focus when working or writing under the camera. There is no need to touch the ONYX camera once it has been set, and you don't even need to point the remote control at the camera as with an infrared remote control. The adjustable locking clamp fits easily on a desk or table's edge and requires very little surface space. Move it quickly from one work station to another or from room to room. There are five models to select from for the ONYX: ONYX Swing-arm: This small yet powerful camera is uniquely mounted on a swinging arm to provide you with its three distinct views and magnifies at up to 100x (based on a 20-inch screen).The 11 3/8-inch workspace under the camera provides the room you need to work on objects with your hands and tools. Use the Find Feature to aim at a distant object before zooming in. Auto Focus eliminates the need for constant refocusing as the viewing field changes. ONYX Flexible-arm: The ONYX Flexible-arm camera can be configured in any number of adjustable positions to accommodate almost any viewing need – even working with three-dimensional objects. It also magnifies at up to 100x (based on a 20-inch screen).With a total extended reach of up to 32 inches and the ability to rotate on any of four axes, the ONYX Flexible-arm is both a long-distance magnifier and a fine-detail magnifier, all in one lightweight and portable low vision tool. ONYX Swing-arm PC Edition: With the ONYX Swing-arm PC Edition, your PC becomes a powerful vision tool that brings your digital world and physical world together seamlessly in an intuitive work environment. Work with a magnified PC screen and view magnified camera images at the same time.Featuring a small but powerful camera that provides magnification up to 75x on a 15-inch screen, the ONYX Swing-arm PC Edition creates clear magnified views of your documents and distant objects. It's ideal for use in workplace environments and classroom situations. The ONYX Camera moves quickly and easily back and forth between its three distinct views. The ONYX Swing-arm PC Edition features USB connectivity to any PC and comes complete with Freedom Scientific's MAGic Screen Magnification Software with Speech. The addition of new MAGic EyeMerge™ features means you get powerful distance and up-close magnification, PC screen magnification, and the ability to customize, save, and manipulate images to maximize productivity when working with a PC, documents, and/or viewing a presentation or lecture. Increase your productivity by quickly capturing multiple snapshot views of a blackboard, for example, so that you can easily flip through them on your PC rather than constantly panning and readjusting the camera. Capture blackboard or presentation images before they are erased or removed and save them as your notes. The unique Position Sensor function retains your settings in each of the three modes -- distance view, document view, and self view -- so there is no need to readjust the camera as you move from one view to another and back again. ONYX Flexible-arm PC Edition: This has the same features as the above ONYX Swing-arm PC Edition, only with the flexible arm. ONYX Deskset 17 and Deskset 19: For students, professionals, and others with macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, or other forms of vision loss, the ONYX Deskset 17 and Deskset 19 are the magnification solutions that go where you go in one easy-to-carry self-contained package. Each fits in any classroom, business, or home and moves from one viewing situation to the next as quickly as you do, with the Deskset 17 having a 17-inch flat-panel monitor, and the newer Deskset 19 sporting a larger 19-inch flat-panel monitor. Carry it about with a top-mounted carrying handle, and plug it into any standard wall plug; it's ready to deliver crisp, clear magnification, with the Deskset 17 capable of up to 85x, while the Deskset 19 can magnify up to 95x. The ONYX Deskset 17 and Deskset 19 models are extremely portable with fast and easy set up and breakdown features to readily adapt to any viewing circumstance - with 350-degree camera rotation, three axes on the rotating arm, and the ability to mount the camera on either side of the monitor. The ONYX camera also remembers its settings in each position ease of switching back and forth between near and distance viewing without refocusing or readjusting the camera. Both models include a carrying case. This rolling case is made of ballistic nylon and zips open at the top so that the entire unit can be easily placed inside. There is a pocket for documents and an outside zippered compartment for the power supply and remote control. The case can be carried by its two handles or dragged behind on two wheels by a telescoping handle. The ONYX Deskset 17 and Deskset 19 also feature: A choice of full color mode, enhanced black-on-white positive, enhanced white-on-black negative,
and inverse color mode The ONYX Deskset 17 and ONYX Deskset 19 are shipping with adjustability for comfort and better viewing. The monitor can be raised up to 3 inches and tilted forward or back.
