Zoom-Twix is a very transportable product that combines the features of Zoom-Ex with the capabilities of a video camera. It actually is four tools in a single device that weighs 2 pounds.

Zoom-Twix is a combination of four components:

1. The world's first instant book-to-speech tool. The real-time response is achieved thanks to two leaps in speed: instant scanning by photographing and fastest OCR (image-to-text) to date.

2. Scanner. Our patented motion detector allows scanning 20 pages per minute without pushing a button, virtually hands free (books stay bound). All you do is turn pages. Once a flat page, held at 4 corners, is sensed as still, its image gets saved. You turn the next page and hold it flat with both hands. And so on.

3. Magnifier with no need for an X-Y table (lines wrap). As a magnifier, it first scans a single page near-instantly, by photographing it. Then it magnifies the captured text and wraps the lines onscreen for easy reading. Just scroll down. Lines no longer run off the screen.

4. CCTV video camera turns 360 degrees to view blackboard and take snapshots. Keyboard controls the zoom up to 40x magnification. Store snapshots on a CD, DVD, or key chain memory. View them without Zoom-Twix.

Zoom-Twix allows visually-impaired individuals to function fully in the classroom. While the magnifier shows the page text, a video cam views the blackboard at any zoom, controlled from the keyboard. The two images can be displayed side by side both in class and later at home (snapshots from the board).

Dealing with small print? Zoom in, yet no line will run off the screen! Want to zoom on a picture while its printed caption is being read to you? No problem (you can even save both: one as image, the other as text).

Want to zoom on a distant board? Sure. Need a snapshot? A click away allows the user to see it at home! It's yours. (A toy for all to envy.)

Want to write under zoom? Go for it! Take it around with your laptop, even to a bookstore (it needs neither power nor light source).
